Plan

Plan the everyday

Keep the next shop, the week’s food and one-off appointments clear before the day gets busy.

Shopping

Create separate lists for groceries, the pharmacy or any errand. Add quickly, assign items, search everything and choose what checking an item should do.

  • Up to 15 lists · 60 items each
  • Household, private or selected-member lists
  • Cross out, move to Done or remove instantly

Meals

Build a flexible meal schedule with your own named time slots, recipes, reusable week templates, delivery entries, notes and meal or swap suggestions. Plus households can also paste a recipe link and let Family Hub read its title, ingredients and steps for review.

  • Week planner and month calendar
  • Recipes, custom meals or delivery
  • Need / Already have / Skip before Shopping export

Reminders

Add one-off appointments and deadlines with an all-day option, time, location, notes, assignee, visibility and the lead times that matter.

  • Timed or all-day reminders
  • List and month-calendar views
  • Configurable lead times for supported alerts
Remember

Keep important details from slipping

Dates, renewals and the cards you carry become searchable records with the right reminders and views.

Important dates

Remember birthdays, anniversaries and other important dates. Add an optional year for automatic age or anniversary counts and mute any reminder individually.

  • Birthdays, anniversaries and one-off dates
  • Optional year calculates age or years
  • List, calendar and per-date mute

Document expiry

Track passports, warranties, insurance, subscriptions and anything else with an expiry or renewal date, grouped your way and sorted by urgency.

  • Default reminders 30, 7 and 1 day before
  • Nested groups up to five levels
  • Urgency list and month calendar

Loyalty cards

Scan a loyalty card and let Family Hub detect its barcode format, or enter it manually. The app validates that it can be rendered, then shows it full-screen at checkout with optional front and back photos.

  • 13 supported barcode formats
  • Front/back photos and custom card backgrounds
  • Household, private or selected-member access
Coordinate

Stay connected without another group setup

Talk, check in and collect wishes inside the household that already exists in Family Hub.

Household chat

Every household already has one private group conversation. Messages arrive live and show who sent them and when. Anyone can report a message or a member from the chat itself, and mute a member for themselves without telling the household. Included with Plus Complete.

  • One conversation per household
  • Up to 2,000 characters · 90-day retention window
  • In-app reporting and private per-person muting

Location check-ins

Choose to share where you are now for a limited time on a name-labelled household map. It is an opt-in check-in, not background tracking. Included with Plus Complete.

  • Share for 1 hour, 4 hours or until day’s end
  • Foreground location permission only
  • Name-labelled OpenStreetMap pins

Wishlist

Collect wants with links, stores, prices and priorities. Keep a wish household-visible or private, mark it purchased, or connect it to chore points.

  • Links, store, price and priority
  • Household-visible or private wishes
  • Redeem wishes with earned chore points
Care and manage

Share responsibility with clear guardrails

Assign work, understand the month and keep medication routines visible to the right people.

Chores

Assign work to one person, several people or anyone. Children can complete chores, adults can approve them, and guarded transactions award points once. Children can also run a step-by-step morning or evening routine that pays into the same points balance.

  • One or more assignees, or Anyone
  • Daily or weekly recurrence
  • A reminder at each chore’s own due time

Timetables

A real school schedule: weekday columns, numbered periods with times, colored subjects, and the breaks between them — one per household member. Included with Plus Complete.

  • Classic week table with A/B week support
  • Breaks between lessons, named and timed
  • Home shows each person's next lesson

Finances

Run a month-by-month household ledger for expenses, bills, paybacks and savings, with budgets, fair splits, member balances and an explicit month-close flow.

  • Budgets, bills, splits and savings pots
  • Recurring savings and configurable reset day
  • CSV and PDF for the live month and closed history

Medications

See who takes what and when, mark each dose, track remaining stock and move a medicine through Needed, Ordered and Received when it runs low. One switch per person decides whether doses follow the phone’s current time zone or stay on home time while travelling.

  • Daily, selected weekdays or every N days
  • Taken / Skipped / Snoozed, with undo
  • Stock, low-stock and reorder workflow
Works across Family Hub

The features do not live in silos.

Shared navigation, permissions, search, calendars and Home connect the modules without pretending they are extra products.

Home and Upcoming

A read-only dashboard brings together the next visible items, needs-attention alerts, a finance glance, optional calendar and recent activity—without reading features you cannot access.

Calendar where dates matter

Meals, reminders, birthdays, document expiry, dated chores and finance bills offer month views with recognizable feature markers; opening normally starts on today.

Search in the feature you are using

Data-heavy modules provide focused search over the fields that make sense there, keeping results relevant instead of mixing unrelated household records.

Roles and item visibility

Owner, admin, adult, child and guest roles combine with per-feature access and household, private or selected-member visibility where the feature supports it.

Live sync across household devices

When connected, changes sync through the shared household so members see current information on their devices. Supported notifications can open the relevant item directly.

Alerts that are hard to miss

Reminders, birthdays, medication doses, expiring documents, chores and imported calendar events each get their own Android notification channel in that feature’s color, so one kind can be silenced without silencing the rest. Where you allow full-screen alerts, a due one takes over the locked screen showing only the item and a Dismiss button; without that access Android shows the same alert as a heads-up banner. Chat and wishlist notifications stay ordinary pop-ups.

Personal navigation and appearance

Everyone chooses System, Light or Dark mode for themselves. With Plus, each person can also reorder or hide features and pick any of the seven color palettes, without changing anyone else’s setup.

Thirty interface languages

Choose the app-interface language on the welcome screen or inside the app. The setting belongs to the device, so household members can use different languages.

Useful handoffs and exports

Meal ingredients pass through Need / Already have / Skip before entering Shopping, while Finances exports the live month or closed history as CSV and PDF.

One household, clearly organized

Choose the features your home actually needs.

Home stays first. Other feature shortcuts can be reordered or hidden for you, while role-aware modules limit access without deleting the household’s data.
