The short version
Use Family Hub for lawful household organization, protect your account, respect other members, and do not treat its reminders, medication, finance or location tools as professional or emergency services.
These terms form an agreement between the person using Family Hub and the independent Family Hub developer. Questions can be sent to familyhub.support@gmail.com.
Using Family Hub
Family Hub provides Android and web tools for a private household. You may use the service only if you can legally agree to these terms and comply with applicable law.
- Adults manage accounts. An adult creates the household and invites other people. Child roles participate under the responsibility and supervision of their parent or guardian.
- Protect your sign-in. Use accurate account information, keep credentials private, and tell support promptly if you believe an account or household has been accessed without permission.
- Use roles honestly. Owners and administrators control invitations and feature access. Do not use a role or another person's account to bypass household permissions.
Your household content
You keep ownership of content you enter or upload. You are responsible for having the right to share it with the household.
You give Family Hub the limited permission needed to store, process, display, synchronize, back up and delete that content solely to operate, secure and support the service.
Household chat is not public, but prohibited content can be reported from the chat itself or by email. The sender or a household administrator can redact messages, each member can mute another member for themselves, and support may investigate a report when necessary.
Acceptable use
Do not use Family Hub to:
- break the law, encourage a crime or violate another person's rights;
- threaten, exploit, groom, endanger or impersonate another person;
- harass, bully, discriminate against or deliberately humiliate a household member;
- probe security, spread malware, automate abusive traffic or interfere with the service;
- upload or reveal personal, financial, health, location or calendar information without a lawful reason and appropriate permission;
- send spam, fraudulent material or content that is illegal, sexually exploitative or otherwise seriously abusive.
Report prohibited content or conduct from the chat itself, or by emailing familyhub.support@gmail.com. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
Google and third-party integrations
Google Calendar. Plus can import selected calendars using Google's read-only scope, from 90 days before the current date through 365 days ahead. Google events remain governed by your Google agreement and remain editable only in Google Calendar. Imported details may be visible to eligible adult household members; Busy only masks the source title, location and notes before storage.
Disconnecting in Family Hub revokes Family Hub's Google authorization and automatically deletes the Family Hub calendar and event copies without changing or deleting source events in Google. After a Plus downgrade, retained copies remain viewable and removable, but new synchronization stays disabled until Plus returns.
Loyalty cards. You enter each loyalty card's name and details yourself. Saving or scanning a loyalty card does not mean that Family Hub is sponsored, approved or operated by the card issuer.
Recipe import fetches a page you supply. Only import pages you are allowed to access, and use imported recipes for your household’s own meal planning. The source address is kept with the recipe so the original site keeps its attribution.
Free Starter, Plus Complete and billing
- Free Starter. Free has the stated feature and household limits and may show banner ads to adults after applicable privacy checks.
- Plus Complete. One verified Google Play subscription unlocks the advertised Plus capabilities for one household and removes Family Hub ads from that household.
- Renewal and price. Google Play displays the price, billing period, taxes and renewal terms before purchase and manages recurring charges under the user's Play settings.
- Cancellation and downgrade. Cancellation takes effect after the verified paid period. The household returns to Free limits without automatic deletion of its records or removal of members; paid-only actions become unavailable until Plus is restored.
- Advertising. Free may show top and feed-end banners on Home and every feature workspace to eligible adult owners, administrators, members and adult guests after applicable consent and privacy checks. Children never receive ads, and Plus is ad-free. Authentication, Settings, purchase, subscription management, export, deletion, privacy and consent flows do not contain banners. Full-screen ads are not part of the service.
The current plan comparison and base prices are on the Plans page.
Important limitations
Family Hub records schedules and stock entered by household members. It does not diagnose, prescribe, verify doses or replace a clinician, pharmacist, medicine label or emergency service.
Check-ins are optional, foreground and time-limited. They can be delayed or inaccurate and must not be used as an emergency, child-monitoring or life-safety system.
Budgets, splits, charts and exports are organizational records supplied by the household, not banking, accounting, tax, legal or investment advice.
Availability and responsibility
Family Hub is provided by a solo developer and may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance, security work, provider outages or circumstances outside reasonable control.
The service is provided with reasonable care but without a promise that every reminder, synchronization, notification, export or calculation will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep independent copies of information whose loss would cause serious harm.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, Family Hub is not responsible for indirect loss caused by relying on the app as professional, medical, emergency or financial infrastructure.
Reports, moderation and account action
Reports are reviewed proportionately. Family Hub may preserve necessary evidence, redact content, restrict a capability, suspend access or contact appropriate authorities where reasonably necessary for safety, law or service security.
Where practical and safe, the affected user will receive an explanation and a way to contact support. Serious or repeated violations may result in account or household closure.
You may stop using Family Hub and use the deletion controls described on the account-deletion page.
Changes, consumer rights and governing law
Material changes will be published with a new effective date and an appropriate notice. Continued use after a change takes effect means the revised terms apply, unless applicable law requires another form of agreement.
Mandatory consumer and data-protection rights in the user's country continue to apply and are not reduced by these terms.
These terms are governed by Croatian law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections or jurisdiction available where they live.
Questions or reports
Clear questions are welcome, and safety or abuse reports will be handled as promptly as reasonably possible for an independently operated service.
